30 years in business…

I started my business life with a number of entrepreneurial ventures including trading at auctions, selling antique share certificates to Germany and exporting Ladas back to Russia. I started my first proper company when I was 22 from the spare room in my father’s house. Over the past 30 years myself and my business partner have grown that business into a group of companies in the leisure industry – surviving two recessions, several ‘brink of failure’ moments and now Coronavirus as well.

I have also invested in a number of different ventures including events, travel, insurance, commercial property, organic foodstuffs and various e-commerce businesses. As well as my commercial interests one of my companies specialises in organising fundraising events for charities resulting in over £150M being raised for a vast variety of causes.

I am not currently investing in early-stage companies. But I am available to founders for consultancy and mentorship on how to grow and scale their private businesses.
